Tree Surveying and Assessment

Arboricultural Impact Assessments

Clear and Concise Reporting
General Site Assessment
High level assessment of the site to look at the survey requirements - often referred to as a walking survey. This aims to identify the extent of survey/inspection that will be required to meet your requirements.
Visual Tree Assessments
Conducted from ground level, visual assessments of trees look to identify and evaluate external features of trees that may indicate a potential problem. A set of recommendations are formulated to identify possible actions that you can take to reduce the likelihood of failure of the tree.
Technical Tree Assessment
This will be a recommendation from a visual assessment where an external feature requires closer inspection. The aim is to quantify a feature where the tree is to be retained.
Tree Risk Management
Advice and guidance to enable the tree owner to accurately evaluate and mange the hazards posed by tree ownership, from homeowners to large landholders. Advice and guidance for policy and strategy development.
Tree Preservation Act Applications
Assessment of tree(s) to provide management recommendations suitable for licence applications where a tree does not pose a direct risk. All Assessments and technical specifications will relate to the current policy and standards published by DEFA.
Domestic Planning Applications
Evaluation of the arboricultural constraints and impacts of development in relation to small scale domestic planning applications.
Written Reporting
Written reports will be produced as standard that will provide a clear evaluation of the hazards posed by the trees assessed. The reports are tailored to the client audience so that they can be clearly understood but also contain sufficient technical detail for work specification or licence application. Where a higher level of technical detail and specification is required, such as following technical tree assessment, a concise summary will also be provided.
Verbal Reporting
When appropriate, a verbal report can be provided on site, usually following a general site assessment. This process is usually where the trees pose very little threat, or when some preparatory work needs to be undertaken prior to a full assessment.
